The Axel Group is seeking a Resident Engineer for our client's transportation infrastructure project team. This position involves overseeing construction management and inspection services on bridge and roadway projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide construction management, inspection, and oversight for transportation infrastructure projects, with a focus on bridges and roadways.
• Supervise field inspection personnel and coordinate with multiple project stakeholders.
• Ensure project adherence to construction documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, schedules, and claims mitigation.
• Work primarily from the project site, managing active construction environments and occasional extended weekday or weekend shifts as required.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in construction management or senior construction inspection on transportation projects.
• Strong knowledge of bridge rehabilitation and/or bridge construction is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with roadway and bridge construction, structural steel, concrete, traffic management, utility coordination, and construction quality assurance.
• Knowledge of PennDOT and/or NJDOT procedures, standards, and documentation requirements is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to prioritize in active construction environments.
• Ability to work primarily from the project site.

Compensation:
Salary range up to $135,000.00 annually.
