Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Land Acquisition Manager for our client's team. Our client is a leading company in the construction industry, specializing in real estate development and land acquisition. This role involves managing the land acquisition department, overseeing the entire process from identifying land opportunities to closing deals and securing governmental approvals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and direct all land acquisition activities in alignment with division goals.
• Negotiate property acquisitions with landowners, attorneys, or brokers.
• Identify and qualify potential land opportunities to meet company needs.
• Oversee due diligence processes, including initial master planning in collaboration with internal design and land development teams.
• Manage entitlement processes post-closing and coordinate resources thoroughly.
• Monitor development phases and entitlement processes to ensure smooth progress.
• Develop departmental budgets and control overhead costs.
• Manage land and lot purchase contract processes in coordination with legal teams.
• Collaborate with the Land Development Department on potential development communities.
• Build and maintain relationships within the business community and explore avenues for new acquisitions.
• Prepare land valuation analyses, budgets, and documentation for corporate approval.
• Conduct all business ethically and professionally to serve customers and enhance company goodwill and profitability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in land acquisition, negotiation, and project management.
• Strong understanding of land development, entitlement, and due diligence processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to develop budgets and conduct land valuation analysis.

Compensation:
Salary up to $120,000 annually.
