The Axel Group is seeking a Contracts Administrator for our client's team. This firm, an established general contractor, specializes in residential and commercial construction projects throughout New Jersey. They focus on affordable and market-rate housing, multifamily and senior living communities, as well as commercial and mixed-use developments. With decades of experience in real estate development and construction, the company is known for managing large-scale projects and delivering high-quality developments that positively contribute to communities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, administer, and maintain construction contracts throughout their lifecycle
- Utilize AIA and Catina software to generate, issue, and manage contracts and related documentation
- Collaborate with Project Managers to gather scopes of work, exhibits, pricing, schedules, and other necessary information for contracts
- Oversee the contract execution process from initial draft to fully executed agreement, including coordinating signatures and ensuring all documentation is complete
- Collect, review, and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and other contractor/subcontractor documentation
- Maintain accurate contract files, spreadsheets, and tracking logs, ensuring key dates and milestones are met
- Administer prevailing wage contracts, ensuring compliance with requirements and timely completion of documentation
- Monitor contract status, follow up proactively with stakeholders to resolve outstanding items
- Assist with contract modifications, amendments, change orders, and other administrative activities
- Manage assigned contracts independently with minimal oversight
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in construction contract administration or a related role
- Proficiency with AIA and Catina software is essential
- Experience preparing procurement contracts from established templates and managing contracts through completion
- Knowledge of prevailing wage contracts and compliance documentation
- Ability to manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs), subcontractor documentation, and contract tracking
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard office software
- Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience)
