Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Civil Engineer for our client's growing team in South Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Civil Engineer to gain hands-on experience in land development, stormwater management, drainage, grading, and site design while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design of residential, commercial, and other land development projects
• Assist with stormwater management and drainage design
• Prepare grading, drainage, utility, and site development plans
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations
• Assist with detention, infiltration, and other stormwater BMP design
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare engineering plans
• Review surveys, site information, and existing drainage conditions
• Assist with preparation of technical reports and permitting documents
• Work with project engineers, surveyors, and other project professionals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Approximately 1 year of civil engineering experience
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D strongly preferred
• Exposure to land development, site design, grading, drainage, or stormwater
• EIT certification or actively pursuing EIT preferred
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Compensation:

• Salary up to approximately $75,000, depending on experience
