Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Construction Administrator for our client's team. Our client is an esteemed, award-winning architecture and design firm serving the Mid-Atlantic region. With decades of experience, the firm provides architecture, planning, and interior design services for a diverse portfolio of public and private-sector projects, including education, civic, commercial, housing, justice, and community-focused facilities. Known for its collaborative culture, technical expertise, and commitment to high-quality design, the firm has established a strong reputation for delivering successful projects while fostering strong relationships with clients and consultants.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction-phase activities, serving as a key liaison between the design team, clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Lead site visits and construction meetings to monitor progress and address issues.
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and updates to construction documents as needed.
• Provide construction administration services to support quality control and meet client and project team needs.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and conformance with contract documents.
• Lead onsite meetings with contractors, subcontractors, and project team members to address field conditions, communicate design intent, and ensure coordinated progress.
• Analyze field conditions and develop practical solutions to construction challenges of varying complexity.
• Maintain thorough understanding and application of architect-owner and owner-contractor agreements during construction.
• Serve as a liaison during client and project team meetings.
• Apply professional judgment and technical expertise to ensure quality and effective project delivery.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of experience overseeing design and construction projects.
• Proficiency in reading construction documents.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites spanning Central NJ, Northern NJ, and Northampton County, PA.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Compensation:
Salary range of $80,000 – $100,000.
