Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Paving Foreman for our client's team. This company specializes in asphalt construction projects throughout Florida, focusing on delivering high-quality pavement solutions for various projects, including parking lots and neighborhood developments. The Paving Foreman will oversee asphalt crews, manage daily operations, and ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise paving crews on active job sites.
• Plan and coordinate daily field operations, manpower, and equipment needs.
• Oversee site preparation, grading, asphalt paving, compaction, and finishing.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance requirements.
• Ensure work adheres to DOT, municipal, and project specifications.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Track daily production, quantities, and progress of work.
• Identify and resolve field issues promptly to minimize delays.
• Monitor quality control and proper paving techniques.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and productive job site.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in asphalt paving or road construction.
• Prior experience in a foreman, lead, or crew supervisor role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving methods, compaction, and finishing work.
• Working familiarity with DOT standards and construction specifications.
• Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read plans, understand job requirements, and manage field priorities.
• Capable of working outdoors and performing physical labor as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.

Compensation:
Salary range of $95,000 to $110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Work schedule primarily during daytime hours, with minimal night work required.
• Vehicle provided.
