Overview:
The Axel Group is seeking a Project Architect for our client's team. This innovative architecture and planning firm offers a collaborative environment where design excellence and technical expertise come together to deliver outstanding public projects. The position involves working on diverse phases of design and construction, contributing to civic, educational, and government facility projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative architectural solutions for public-sector projects, including civic, educational, and government facilities.
- Produce high-quality architectural drawings, construction documents, and BIM models using Revit throughout all phases of design.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and seamless interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Participate in project planning, programming, schematic design, and design development to support project goals and client expectations.
- Perform building code analysis, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and assist with permitting and approval processes.
- Provide construction administration support by reviewing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and conducting site visits throughout construction.
- Contribute to the firm's commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and technical quality while maintaining project standards and deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- 4–7 years of professional architectural experience, preferably on public projects
- Proficiency in Revit is required; additional experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar software is a plus
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and permitting processes
- Strong design, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional licensure is a plus but not required
Compensation:
Salary range up to $120,000.00 annually.
