The Axel Group is seeking an Electrical Professional for our client's team. This role offers an opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to provide field leadership on commercial construction projects. The successful candidate will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems while coordinating crews, schedules, and resources to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership for field electricians, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to review drawings, perform take-offs, and assist with job planning and estimating.
- Coordinate labor, materials, tools, and equipment to ensure resources are available when needed to maintain project schedules. - Plan and assign work to crew members, establishing clear expectations and managing manpower to meet production goals.
- Oversee the installation of electrical feeders, distribution systems, lighting, and equipment such as motors, pumps, generators, switchgear, and panels, including all connections and terminations.
- Monitor project progress and adjust workflows accordingly, while coordinating with other trades.
- Lead by example in the field, performing hands-on work as needed to support production, training, and quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate job documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and administrative records.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring crews follow procedures, are properly trained, and adhere to safety standards.
- Assist with incident investigations and related documentation.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience leading electrical crews or serving in a leadership role on commercial or ground-up construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with field teams, project management, and clients.
- Customer-focused mindset committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and service.
- Experience with lighting installation or retrofit projects is a plus.
Compensation: $35 to $45 per hour
