Overview

The Axel Group is seeking a Project Architect for our client’s team. In this role, you’ll help plan, coordinate, and execute architectural projects from early design through construction completion—producing high-quality construction documents while supporting project schedules, budgets, and design objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in projects from conceptual planning through construction administration
  • Develop complete drawing packages and technical documentation for a variety of project types
  • Coordinate with project managers, designers, engineers, consultants, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
  • Assist with programming, site evaluations, feasibility studies, and design development efforts
  • Prepare materials for client meetings and presentations, documenting feedback and incorporating revisions
  • Produce detailed construction drawings, specifications, and technical details that comply with applicable building codes and project standards
  • Conduct code research and apply regulatory requirements throughout the design process
  • Review project documents for accuracy, quality, and coordination prior to formal team reviews
  • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), review shop drawings and submittals, and assist with addenda and construction-phase documentation
  • Coordinate consultant deliverables to ensure alignment across project phases
  • Track project milestones and communicate potential issues affecting schedule, scope, or budget
  • Collaborate with internal team members to maintain consistency, quality, and production standards
  • Participate in internal design reviews, professional development opportunities, and industry events

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • Professional licensure is preferred or ability to obtain licensure in the near future
  • Experience producing construction documents across multiple project phases
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, detailing, and applicable building codes
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams and outside consultants
  • Proficiency with Revit and other standard architectural software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities

Compensation

  • $120,000.00 (salary high)

Additional Details

  • This is a project-based architecture role covering coordination and technical execution throughout the full project lifecycle.
