Overview:

The Axel Group is seeking a qualified Superintendent to oversee construction activities at a prominent project site with our client in Monmouth County, NJ. This role involves managing all aspects of job site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating with various stakeholders to deliver quality results.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards
  • Oversee daily opening and closing procedures of the job site, including securing the site and conducting safety inspections
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust detailed construction schedules to meet project milestones and deadlines in real-time
  • Coordinate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow and resource management
  • Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and minimize overruns
  • Ensure timely delivery of critical materials and equipment in accordance with scheduled dates
  • Collaborate with project management and stakeholders to address challenges and provide project updates
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, safety records, drawings, and change orders
  • Implement safety protocols and conduct inspections to uphold quality control
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively execute mitigation measures
  • Ensure completion of punch lists and other project closeout tasks
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proven experience overseeing commercial construction projects, ideally in restaurant or private sector developments
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, scheduling, and project management
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to develop and adjust project schedules and manage multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with project documentation, safety protocols, and quality control processes
  • Must be detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving

Compensation:

Salary: $100,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on experience
