The Axel Group is seeking a Business Development professional to join our client’s team out of Middlesex County, New Jersey. This firm is a leading provider of environmentally sensitive recycling and solid waste management solutions. They operate a state-of-the-art facility that processes construction debris, asphalt, concrete, and other materials to promote eco-friendly resource recovery. With a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation, our client plays a key role in advancing green initiatives across the region.
The Business Development professional will drive growth and expand market opportunities within the recycling and waste management industry – more specifically within their Class B Materials operation. This role involves identifying new business prospects, building strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships to enhance revenue and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, business development, or environmental services, with a passion for promoting eco-friendly solutions.
This role reports directly to the Commodities Manager, with coordination from the Senior Vice President and Vice President of Business & Technical Development, ensuring departmental needs are effectively identified and met. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to drive new business and expand the customer base for Class B Materials.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while proactively identifying and securing new accounts.
Collaborate with the Commodities Manager, Senior Vice President, and Vice President of Business & Technical Development to align sales strategies with company objectives.
Conduct daily outreach to prospective and current customers, presenting solutions to meet their recycling and waste management needs.
Upsell additional facility services to maximize revenue opportunities and enhance customer engagement.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field.
Minimum of four years of experience in sales and business development preferred.
Industry experience in recycling, solid waste, or aggregates is highly desirable.
Must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation.
Benefits:
Base Salary: $80,000 – 100,000
