The Axel Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our client’s team out of Chester County, Pennsylvania. This reputable environmental consulting firm serves commercial, industrial, and government clients across the Mid-Atlantic region in identifying and resolving risks on properties through environmental assessments, soil and groundwater investigations, and remediation.

A Philadelphia Asbestos Project Inspector (API) certification and a 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification is required for this position.
Conduct asbestos inspections, lead-based paint surveys, and indoor air quality (IAQ) and mold investigations, and Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
Perform field sampling for hazardous materials and complete proper chain-of-custody documentation
Document site conditions thoroughly, including field notes, photographs, temperature, relative humidity, and moisture content readings
Prepare accurate, concise field reports and inspection documentation based on survey findings and project scope
Maintain and build positive working relationships with clients, team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, industrial hygiene, or related scientific discipline
2+ years of field experience in one or more of the following: asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality (IAQ), mold, water intrusion investigations, industrial hygiene, or facility assessments
Must be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate with clients and other staff, and prepare technical field notes and reports
Must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and possess prioritization skills
Attention to detail, quality of work, and the ability to take initiative and make technical decisions is a must
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification, required
Philadelphia Asbestos Project Inspector (API), required
