Design electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and mixed-use projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications.
Produce and coordinate construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, and photometric studies.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure design intent and project goals are met.
Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide support during construction administration.
Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IBC, ASHRAE, etc.).
Participate in field surveys and site visits.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to QA/QC efforts.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
4–7 years of experience in electrical design for buildings.
Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD, SKM, and lighting calculation software a plus.
Strong knowledge of electrical codes and design standards.
EIT certification preferred; PE licensure track is a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Experience with sustainable/LEED design practices.
Projects in high rise, healthcare, higher education, or municipal sectors.
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 + benefits
