The Water Resources Engineer with work with a multidisciplinary team to utilize design concepts and principles of water resources and stormwater engineering in project development.

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of environmental scientists, restoration designers and construction specialists in the application, design and permitting of ecological restorations and stormwater BMPs
- Design and review construction drawings, develop construction cost estimates, and other related tasks
- Independently prepare and review design calculations and reports, hydrologic and hydraulic (1D and 2D) modeling, and floodplain and watershed studies
- Assist with proposals to provide services or obtain funding for stormwater/restoration projects or programs
- Preparation and submission of FEMA LOMR and CLOMR
- Ensure that all work is being performed in compliance with the company’s protocols
- BS in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in Maryland, Virginia, or Delaware
- 3-7 years of experience in water resources engineering with an emphasis on ecological restoration
- Experience with stormwater design is an added plus
- Proficiency in the development of in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software such as WinTR-20, WinTR-55, QtHydro, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D and 2D), and TUFLOW
- Advanced knowledge of stream and wetland restoration design
- Significant knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Microstation
- Proficiency with federal, state, and local stormwater and floodplain permitting and experience in obtaining various permits
Benefits:
- Salary $100,000 – 130,000
