The Axel Group is looking for an experienced Project Executive to join our client’s team out of Hartford, Connecticut. Our client, a reputable mission driven housing product development company, offers a high quality, sustainable, and attainable priced housing solution.

Their goal? To make high-quality housing accessible to those who earn too much for subsidized housing but too little for market-rate options. This firm is backed by leading venture capitalists and by one of the nation's preeminent homebuilders.

This firm is growing rapidly, with scores of projects in planning, and they’re looking for an exceptional Project Executive to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. As a key member of the team, you will ensure the timely completion of housing projects while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

The Project Executive is required to travel to job sites within 1 hour of Hartford, Connecticut.
 
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of multiple home building projects, including planning, execution, and completion.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
  • Travel to various project sites, providing on-site leadership and support to project teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure all project requirements are met and resolve any issues that arise during construction.
  • Lead and manage a team of site superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to achieve project goals efficiently.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and expectations.
  • Ensure open communication and provide regular project updates to clients.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and identifying areas for potential savings.
  • Approve invoices, manage change orders, and track project financials.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, coordinate the activities of all parties involved, and ensure that timelines are adhered to.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and delays promptly.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets company standards, building codes, and client specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction projects, including safety hazards, delays, and cost overruns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, budgets, schedules, and change orders.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required
  • 8+ years of related construction management experience
  • Experience working for a national or regional homebuilder required
  • Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel frequently to various job sites
Benefits:
  • Base Salary + Bonus, total compensation ranging from $170,000 -$200,000
