The Axel Group is currently working with a top General Contractor in Buffalo, NY, looking to add a Superintendent to join their growing team!

The Project Superintendent must be organized and systematic towards the work; have a thorough and deep knowledge about construction methods and activities and all related functions; be an excellent communicator, possessing both verbal and written skills, as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain good relationships with the crew & safety. Well-established leader in the construction industry wants you to be part of our team.

Typical Duties:

• Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with owner representatives and all contractors.
• Plan work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control and day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff if applicable.
• Supervise trade craft employees and other contractors as required by contract.
• Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment as required.
• Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Document all violations, notify project management, recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
• Assume responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the project.
• Perform additional assignments per Supervisor’s direction.

Qualifications: 

• Highly motivated individuals.
• Min. 3 yrs. Exp. Private/Public/Residential Housing Projects.
• Scheduling, coordinating, and supervising trade crafts on the construction site.
