Our client is a well-known construction management firm with offices in NJ and Philadelphia. They are looking to add a dynamic Project Accountant to their team. Position offers a hybrid schedule, with three days in office and two from home.
The Project Accountant is required to prepare monthly project invoices, ensure invoices meet current contract specifications, and monito and analyze project budget reports.
Responsibilities:
- Print & submit monthly GL reports for accounts such as Billed Receivables, Unbilled (WIP), and Unbilled Retainage for Balance Sheet QA/QC.
- Prepare a project invoice form for each new contract including but not limited to billing rates, invoicing format, identify direct labor budgets, classifications, Overhead terms, annual escalation rates, and expenses direct but not reimbursable to the project when necessary.
- Manage subcontractor budgets and expenses when necessary.
- Assist in the implementation of Accounts Receivable Statements per client and per project.
- Year-end review and closing activities including reconciliations of general ledger accounts, specifically overhead audit.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in the construction or engineering industry
- Deltek experience preferred
