Position Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Managing and overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory/costing, and general ledger functions.
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, and providing recommendations to senior management.
• Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational and capital expenditure needs.
• Overseeing tax compliance and ensuring all tax returns are filed accurately and on time.
• Developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Analyzing financial data and providing strategic financial advice to senior management to support business decisions.
• Conducting analysis of the General Ledger, performing Journal Entry bookings, and ensuring maintenance of accurate and up-to-date account schedules.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the Produce, Food, Manufacturing, and/or Wholesale industries is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years in a managerial accounting role.
